About Irene

In today’s world, it’s very easy to become immersed in the negativity and stress that seem to dominate our lives. It’s much harder to focus on the beauty and goodness that’s all around us. My wish is for everyone to leave the real world behind every now and then and become inspired.”

                                                                Irene Morgan Braun.

Demonstrating artistic talent at a young age, it wasn’t until much later in life that Irene Morgan Braun found herself on the path to success as an artist.

A gift, from her husband, of canvas and watercolor paints and brushes (and his boundless support and encouragement) took her life in an exciting and unexpected direction.

It’s easy to explain the vast popular appeal of her art. Filled with intriguing subjects and exquisite detail, the moments she captures on canvas ‘speak’ to people everywhere and on a universal level.

Her subjects are varied, but are united by a common thread ~ they connect with the viewer in a way that sparks an emotional response.

Reactions to her art is as unique and varied as the art itself. Some appear reflective, some smile, some experience a warm childhood memory, some just admire a piece of our natural world. Most are amazed that her work is watercolor and not photographs.

Irene works almost exlusively in watercolor and she says that never chooses her subjects, but rather they reach out to her. It might be a single vibrant hibiscus blossom, a tiger cat with an attitude or children captured doing whatever it is that interests them at the moment.

This award-winning artist continues to create in her studio in coastal Georgia. She’s commited to sharing her talent and enthusiasm for art by teaching children’s art classes and workshops.

She hopes to leave behind a legacy of beauty and meaning.

Hi Irene – I just saw the painting that Tiffany Hurley’s daughter completed with you. Can I get information on art classes for my daughters (age 12 and 13)?

    Thanks
    Catina
(You helped us buy our first house back in 2004!)

Hi Irene…a friend of yours stopped by our gallery in Fernandina Beach and asked if we were interested in local artitists? Once checking out your website, the answer is Yes!! With that said, would you be interested in working with a gallery? We are new to the scene in Amelia and have been met with such a positive response. I would love for you to check out our website and facebook page to get a feel of our gallery. My partners and myself are interested in representing the artist and their story. If any of this sounds like something you may be interested in, please reach out to me at the above email. Or I can be reached at 407.257.2031. It would be a pleasure to speak with you about a possible relationship. thanks! Debbie

    Sister in the Arts-
I so enjoyed your art in St. Mary’s today, Independence Day 2015. Thank you for choosing to have a public space!
Seeing that you are a member of the PSA, let me encourage you to become a member of the the Portrait Society of Atlanta. As a more localized group, the PSAtl has a good international recognition and potential for you to embellish your portfolio with some (more, perhaps?) awards. Your work and choice of subject matter are exceedingly good, and I thank you also for encouraging your viewers to look for the Goodness, Beauty, and, I would add, Truth in this brief life. Please continue to BE the Blessing you are, dear Sister!

I picked up your card here in Colorado Springs, I think. If you live in this area do you give lessons?

It’s not that I want to replicate your web page, but I really like the layout. Could you let me know which theme are you using? Or was it tailor made?
